Denis Shapovalov rose to prominence as a junior, reaching the No. 2 ranking in 2015. He also won two junior Grand Slam titles, the 2015 US Open doubles title with Felix Auger-Aliassime and the 2016 Wimbledon Championships in singles. During the 2018 season, he won his first ATP title and reached the semifinals of the Paris Masters. He also reached the top ten in the world in 2020, reaching the finals of three ATP Masters 1000 events.
